Angel of the city是眼鏡蛇（Cobra）這部電影的其中之一配樂，該歌曲在1977年發行並收錄於專輯「No easy way out」裡面，由羅伯特·泰博（Robert Tepper）主唱，類似於這種歌曲其實主要都是由席維斯·史特龍（Sylvester Stallone）所精心挑選的配樂，畢竟他是Cobra這部電影的編劇阿~

這首歌編曲風格單一，帶有流行風和搖滾風所結合而成的，但是在70年代的美國聽到這種風格的歌曲其實頗為常見，而在那段時期其實種族歧視是相當嚴重的，這是美國文化特有的，當然一些搞藝術的人其實大部分都想用某種形式來呈現社會不平等的風氣，因此很多經典好歌都會出現在60年代到80年代之間，音樂是可以如此的振奮人心，沒有礁岩激不起美麗的浪花這句形容這些黃金年代是相當貼切的，唯有在逆境中才可以激發出人的創造力。

前奏你會聽到平時建築施工會聽到的配音，好像是H鋼敲打聲，聽起來還蠻適合美國那時候經濟正要慢慢起飛的感覺，只要有工作能做都是好工作，當自己口袋慢慢鼓起來時就會開始飽暖思淫慾阿，我想這是一般平凡人都能體會的心聲吧。

歌詞意思使用了很多的英文俚語，所以要翻譯成中文的時候，小弟我真的是花了相當多的時間去國外的網站爬了很多文章，才了解到每句話的真正含意是什麼，Angel of the city這首曲子含意，主要在闡述無產階級如何去度過他們漫無目標的生活，即便是無產階級，也會抱著夢想與希望來肯定自己，過上美好的人生。
